Ljubljana day 2

We took the bus to the city today, they have a oyster card type Urbana Card to fathom and then we wandered the streets. It may be the smallest city to wander ever! Lots of interesting architecture to see. Bridges feature a lot (one covered in padlocks declaring the love of couples who have been and padlocked there. Mr Pletnic is all over the place as he is in Vienna and Prague. We took the advice of our campsite neighbours and found the less touristy area, not that it feels like you are one of a million tourists, like in some places. It's quiet compared to most. We has a look at this suburb of tiny houses and grabbed a bargain pizza lunch.

In the middle of all this we had seen a bike shop where they happened to have 2 second hand bikes! We excitedly spent the afternoon on our new bikes! Mine is orange and it's make is Rog, a theme. Marks blue and black.

We cycled around Tivoli Park (we saw the hot horse cafe, where you can have a horse burger) after lunch and then into the town again. After a glass of Slovene red- the tourist board weren't lying- we cycled back to camp.

The guide book says 82% of people in Slovenia speak a second language. It's amazing. Obviously as English speakers we benefit massively. Without doubt one of the friendliest places we've been too.
